On behalf FHSA Board of Directors, I extend my gratitude to all who attended the 8th Annual conference on April 6-8, 2007 in Tampa, Florida. We realized that all of you had to make some sacrifices: some had to miss school and work, spending Easter Sunday with family and love ones, while others had to make the conference a priority in their schedule in order to be there. THANK YOU! It was an unforgettable experience in many ways. It is not everyday that we have such positive event especially among the youth.
A Million thanks go to the conference committee especially Ismaela Louissaint the conference chair , (you are the backbone of the conference) the delegates, the E-board, Lawrence Gonzales and Daniel Nicolas from Tallahassee, Djerry Dorval from Nassau, Mr. and Mrs. Estimphil, Fabienne Dorinvil -I don’t know how to thank you for all you have done never too tired always ready to make it happen, Dave Reid USF Club Creole President you are an exceptional leader, Johanne Perrier, Fabienne Labossiere, Donald Florian, Mecca AKA Grimo, and all of you who were helping in one-way or another. It is because of you we had a successful conference. THANK YOU! This years conference attendees came from Haiti, France, Maryland, Atlanta, HCC of Tallahassee, UCLA, MIT, Syracuse University, Edison Community College, FIU , USF, Nassau Community College, MDC IBO club, MDC_Boukan Club, FLOMO, Bethume Cookman College, and BCC. THANK YOU TO ALL PARTICIPATING SCHOOLS YOUR PRESENCE WAS APPRECIATED. We had amongst us distinguished guest such as former Secretary of Health for the State of Florida Dr. M Rony Francois, Pierre R. Leger, DSE, Yves Conze, Ph.D, Georges Daniel, International Lawyer and Real Estate Developer, Major Joseph Bernadel (Ret.), Francois Canal from the LaGonave Development Project, Mecca AKA Grimo, Valery Louisdhon, Charly Jeune, Pierrot Exama, Youri Michel who did a tremendous job on the forum. THANK YOU! To all the performers USF Club Creole, HCC in Tallahassee, and MDC_IBO, Mr. Haiti-HCC, Yolande Jeune, and Mecca AKA Grimo you are truly talented and we encourage you to keep portraying the Haitian culture in such a positive way. THANK YOU! Special thanks to: Vybezz, Banboch TV, Fred the camera man, Fabien Louissaint for your unwavering dedication, and Monyves Rousseau for your tremendous contribution, Djerry for always ready to work, Ismaela Louissaint, Without you guys, the conference would not have happened. THANK YOU! Finally, without you, the attendees, this conference would not be so memorable. We love it when we are among our Haitian people. All who were in attendance this year should spread the word of FHSA and bring with you at least one more person next year. We were very honored to see that our hard work wasn’t for nothing and for the most part, the schools came out in great numbers. We cannot afford any division at this time as we prepare for the future. Let us all regroup and form a real big agenda for the Haitian community here and in Haiti. We can do it!
